Asia Outdoor Celebrates Her 10-Year Anniversary together with Whole Outdoor Industry

Nanjing, China——Asia Outdoor celebrates her 10th anniversary with the blessings of the whole outdoor industry in Nanjing from July 23 to 26.

On a fairground of 50,000 sqm, 617 exhibitors (2014: 613) present their outdoor products and innovations, 19,002 trade visitors (2014: 17298), 459 journalists report from the show. 

 

 

 

 

Representatives from Messe Friedrichshafen, Asia Outdoor's partner, also attend the 10-year anniversary, and are proud of the achievement Asia Outdoor reached in the past ten years. Stefan Reisinger, Head of OutDoor, was happy to witness the success of Asia Outdoor. He said," Overall growth in the outdoor sector in China slowed down a little bit over the last 2 or 3 years, but that means brands are now coming closer together and use this one single platform to have big presentation for outdoor. That is something that really unites the whole industry. We are able to build a real community over the last 10 years, and that is one big part of our success for the show here.

China Outdoor Association (COA for short) fully supports Asia Outdoor.1st COA Outdoor China Summit boosts the Healthy Development of the Chinese Outdoor Industry.

 

During the show, COA held the China Outdoor Industry Report and COA Industry Standard Press Conference. COA put forward the quality standards for down products at COA Industry Standard Press Conference. COA would like to provide the consumers with high quality down products from certified down product standard, purchasing channels and detection agencies.

 

 

The 1st COA Outdoor China Summit was also held successfully on July 24-25. “The Summit is the latest achievement of COA and it will be held annually at regular intervals. COA would like to make use of this platform to pass on the new knowledge, exchange the experience, strengthen the cooperation and enlighten the future of the outdoor industry,” said Mr. Sheng Faqiang, Chairman of COA and Board Director of Toread. The topics cover "Future Strategy of Chinese Outdoor Brands", "Future of Offline Outdoor Stores", "Organization and Design of Sports Events", etc. More than 400 audiences attended the Summit and 90% audiences confirmed that they would continue to attend the Summit next year. 

 

 

Asia Outdoor supporting programs are quite popular, such as Asia Outdoor Dry Tooling Challenge, Teenage Outdoor Education Development Forum, Diving Village, Home of Outdoor Clubs, Running Village, Asia Outdoor Industry Award, Night Running Race, etc.

 

 

This year, 26 products from 22 brands won Asia Outdoor Industry Award 2015, among which 13 products are from Chinese brands, which shows that the Chinese outdoor brands have paid more and more attention to the innovation and design of the products. Running Village has enlarged to 729 sqm this year with 30 running brands in. Over 1700 running enthusiasts participated in the Night Running Race on July 25 at Purple Mountain held together by Asia Outdoor and Sanfo, sponsored by Northland.

According to Asia Outdoor trade visitor’s survey, 93% of visitors are satisfied with the Show, 95% of visitors confirm that they would continue to attend Asia Outdoor next year. The 11th Asia Outdoor will take place from June 30 to July 3, 2016 in Nanjing, China.
