Asia Bike Trade Show 2016: new schedule from September 13 to 15 - three-day indoor Demo Days -2nd Asia Bike Industry Summit and 1st Asia Bike Academy

The 6th Asia Bike Trade Show opens the doors in Nanjing, China with a new schedule from September 13 to 15, 2016. The three-day Asia Bike 2016 occupies three halls at Nanjing International Expo Centre and a total area of about 35000 m2, presenting the latest products from 321 brands. Two halls will be used for brand displays and one for the Demo Area.

As the ‘little sister’ of Eurobike in China, Asia Bike brings the unique atmosphere of the globally leading trade fair to Nanjing, China. "The annual gathering of the entire bike industry in Nanjing brings together brands, dealers, bike shops and cycling fans for a series of product presentations featuring innovations and the 2017 product lines”, illustrates Stefan Reisinger, head of Eurobike/OutDoor. Leading innovation and trend make the difference. Right after Eurobike, Asia Bike 2016 will again host the bike industry's latest technology and cutting-edge products collection to the industry, and offer the opportunity to build partnerships with distributors, test bikes, and create new business links within and outside the bike industry. Asia Bike is ready for new product release and presentation. For example, the two Olympic bike champions will be at the show with their LOOK R96 bikes on September 14; the TORCH COLLECTION of SPECIALIZED will be on show, and its recently-released Roubaix will be available for testing for the first time at the Demo Days.

Experience More in Demo Days 2016

Asia Bike 2016 provides the first "bike testival" in China by extending the Demo Day to three days. Richard Li, project director of Asia Bike explains the new concept: "This year, the biggest and the most important change for Asia Bike is the change from one pre-show test day towards a fully integrated test event over 3 days right next to the exhibition halls. This change will turn Asia Bike 2016 into a big festival for the bike industry in China. Demo Days 2016 is also open to the cycling fans and citizens on the Public Day on September 15, which means direct feedback and needs from consumers is available for exhibitors.” As an additional new feature, the Demo Days will also be located indoors, in Hall 7 of Nanjing International Expo Centre. This one stop - one shop concept makes it easy to attend both the exhibition and the test area at the same time and place, independent of weather conditions. Professional test tracks built to simulate a range of surfaces, including dirt, wood and stones, will also feature slopes to provide a range of test surfaces for MTBs, race bikes and pedelecs for riders with different abilities. New collections or typical bicycles from different brands are ready for testing, including Cannondale, CUBE, Merida, Norco, Specialized, Santa Cruz, Thule, XDS, etc. Yet bike testing is not all: Demo Days offers a display of interactive activities, including various Bike Trainer Challenges, a bike fitting session and a Youth Cycling Challenge, to make Demo Days more interesting and challengeable.

Trends and Hot Topics

Sharing and information exchange is an important part of Asia Bike, gathering together industry professionals, media representatives and opinion leaders from both within and outside of the bike industry. Thus, besides different workshops and lectures, Asia Bike 2016 is also organizing the second edition of the Asia Bike Industry Summit and the first Asia Bike Academy. The Summit which lasts one whole day on September 14 covers topics such as event IP, sports service and product trends, with Bicycle.LETV as the internet live-broadcast partner. The Asia Bike Academy on September 13 and 14 allows brands, bike dealers and cycling fans to share tips, techniques and experiences. Asia Bike aims at integrating resources through the Asia Bike Academy and therefore provides a platform for exchanging new techniques between technicians and bike shops. Featured speakers include representatives from companies such as 3T, Cannondale, CUBE, KS, KMC, Lapierre, LOOK, MAVIC, Pearl Izumi, Shimano and Sram.
In addition, after the debut at Eurobike, the Chinese Sports Bicycle Market Report 2015 will be released on September 13 at Asia Bike.

Featured Areas

Featured areas line up relevant trends and provide guidance for the market. Thus we have different villages at Asia Bike 2016 like the Triathlon Village, Individual Design Area, Bike Travel & Event Village and so on, gathering people not only from the bike industry but also from the traditional sports and travel industries.

The Individual Design Area in Hall 8 is a good example for bike crossover as it not only covers bikes but also features art, innovation and intelligence and attracts attention from within and outside the bike industry. A further attraction in Hall 8 is the Triathlon Village and the Bike Travel & Club Village, which provide a ‘face’ for the ever-growing segment of triathlon and bike travel in China. Especially, ATTAQUE YOUYUE POWERMAN Duathlon Race is going to be held at 15:30 on September 14 at the Youth Olympic Park near the exhibition center. A third focus area of Asia Bike is the Event Village in Hall 9, which is set up separately to promote cycling both as a sport and a culture through workshops and presentations by event companies.

The 6th Asia Bike Trade Show and the 4th Demo Days will take place from September 13 to 15. The first two days will be open to trade visitors only. The last day, which coincides with the Chinese traditional Mid-Autumn Festival, will be open to the general public, giving cycling fans an opportunity to visit the show.
